Foursquare for Nokia series 40 (S40) updated today to v0.1.1, According to Nokia Betalabs, this new version brings several improvements and bugs fixes. Foursquare v0.1.1 also support for more Nokia Series 40 devices.

Foursquare is a popular location-based service that makes the places around you easier and more interesting to explore. This application is a mobile java-based application which works across a range of Nokia devices.

Here are changes in Forsquare app v0.1.1

  • Friend lists
  • Send friend requests
  • Try to use GPS on S40 only when phone has an internal GPS
  • Fixed Facebook URL
  • Small user interface improvements
  • Installation from .jad file for all the devices


Forsquare v0.1.1 also support for more devices like ;

Nokia S40 6th edition, Nokia S40 6th edition FP0, Nokia S40 6th edition FP0, Nokia S40 6th edition FP 1, Nokia S40 5th edition, Nokia S40 5th edition Feature Pack 1, Nokia S40 5th edition Feature Pack 1 LE, Nokia S40 5th LE.

Installation instruction for Series 40 6th Edition devices (e.g. 7230, C3-00, C3-01, X3-02):

  • Point your mobile browser to nokia.ly/4sqfornokia to download Forsquare app.
  • Open the installed application
  • Sign up on foursquare to use the application

Installation instruction for Series 40 5th Edition devices (e.g. 5310 ExpressMusic, 6600 fold):

  • Point your mobile browser to nokia.ly/4sqfornokia2 to download Forsquare app.
  • Open the installed application
  • Note: Sign up on foursquare to use the application
