Samsung Launches the Galaxy I9100 S2 Smartphone in South Korea

Samsung Galaxy S 2 which has officially announced in Mobile World Congress 2011 finally released in its home country, South Korea. This smartphone reportedly will be available through SK Telecom, KT Corp and LG+

Samsung Galaxy S 2 as we already know is an Android-based smartphone. It runs Android 2.3 OS Gingerbread and powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor.

This smartphone also has 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 8 MP rear camera autofocus with LED flash and full HD video recording & playback, 2 MP from camera, 16GB/32GB storage, 1 GB RAM and microSD up to 32GB.

Other features of the Galaxy S2 include Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot), Bluetooth v3.0+HS, microUSB (MHL) v2.0, USB On-the-go, HSPA+ 21Mbps (SKT & KT only), EVDO Rev. B 9.3Mbps (LG U+), NFC (SKT & KT only) and combined with 1650mAh battery.

Meanwhile, Samsung has also confirmed that following the Korean launch, they’ll release the phone in additional 120 countries via 140 operators.

Samsung also officially confirmed that after South Korea, Samsung plans to release this smartphone in at least 120 countries via 140 operators with more than 10 million units sales target for this year.
